PLUS!!!
- player comes greatly wrapped/packed!
- great to exceptional sound!
- 2nd HDMI real advantage to soundquality + sound sync
- super easy installation, easy setup, great quality of contents, all cabling etc included!

PLUS/MINUS:
- upon receipt player SERIOUS video playback hickups (screen going black every couple of seconds), virtually impossible to watch movie (bluray+dvd)
- HOWEVER following clear instructions from seller on how to update firmware relieved to see why this player gets so much positive feedback: really excellent picture quality, but occasional black screens not entirely gone (at average once per 8 minutes, screen goes black during single second whilst playback not interrupted though). Some more tests (& firmware updates) to go to see wether this has to do with my Denon amp being linked with the OPPO via HDMI (upon firmware update, 1st time screen went black was upon powering up amp)?

OPPO BDP-95 FLAGSHIP 3D CODEFREE Blu Ray DVD PLAYER: Yes, I know you can buy the region A/1 US version for $1,000, but it isn't region-free! Nor would I to take the risk futzing around with a $1,000 piece of equipment and installing a $100 chip to make it region-free. I'm just an average Joe and not an electrical engineer, so it is definitely worth the extra money to have a professional do it!

Changing Blu-ray regions is quite simple and DVD region selection is automatic. What a great addition to have the region-free playback!

I've done my research on the high-end universal players on the market and nothing compares to the Oppo BDP-95 in terms of price and quality. Using the balanced XLR outputs, this is probably the best player I've heard under $2,000. By golly, this even compares to players that cost $5,000 or more!

This player is a keeper!
